Tinsukia district promotes PMGDISHA with workshops
In tandem with the Prime Minister’s vision on Digital India, the VLEs have been hosting number of workshops in the district to enrol more number of candidates to the ambitious digital literacy project.

Educating the denizens about the scheme and its benefits, the awareness camps and workshops at various levels saw a huge participation from the villagers. As a result of the tireless efforts from the VLEs, 48 PMGDISHA training centres have been registered in 86 gram panchayats of the district.

Apart from Doidam, Panitola,Borgolai and Guijan,Borguri, Khamtiguali, Itakhuli, Tipu Lekhapani and Ledo witnessed an increase in the registration following the awareness camps.

District Managers Nilutpal Sharma and Mridupaban Mahanta and District Consultant SumitSaikia were the key persons to host the workshops .

Marginalised? Not anymore with help of PMGDISHA
Goalpara: PMGDISHA aims at uplifting the marginalised section in the society. Enrolling people from rural parts of India, the scheme aims at building global citizens with the power of computer literacy. With the help of self-help groups in the district, VLEs mobilized the public to be part of PMGDISHA. As many as 21 awareness programmes were held in the Goalpara district.
