Shining beacon of Hope in creating digital revolution

Indian women have always been an epitome of beauty, strength and intelligence. So is Ms. Arati Behera from Angul, Supriya Nayak from Balasore and Satyabrata from Jajpur , who played key roles in eradicating the darkness of digital illiteracy in the state of Odisha.

Setting up a CSC with limited infrastructure, VLE Arati Behera started serving the villagers in a very focussed and dedicated manner. She had been providing various G2C services in the villages and her customer-friendly attitude attracted more beneficiaries.

She started the PMGDISHA programme in March 2017 and enrolled 250 candidates within a month. Ms. Behera was the first woman VLE in the district who certified 240 candidates within the stipulated time frame specified as per the curriculum.

Her attitude towards the social service changed after initiating the programme. She started focussing more on rural education services and determined to transform the society.

Following the success of the scheme, Behera was made the zonal head and she is guiding more than 6 CSCs in the district.

With income generated from PMGDISHA project, she even started a LED Bulb manufacturing unit in her gram panchayat. Ms. Arati Behera was also awarded the best VLE for her splendid service .
