East Kallada panchayat president inaugurated a new PMGDISHA training centre during an event in Kollam district. Panchayat members, the District Coordinator and the villagers were present for the event.
VLE Binija Sasi kumar delivered the welcome address. Following the speeches, the assemblage also witnessed a discussion on a topic titled ‘Uses and misuses of mobile phones and internet’. The villagers actively participated.
Finally the coordinator introduced PMGDISHA course and the structure to the villagers. The VLE registered more than 30 students on the inaugural day.
Sijo George, District Coordinator of CSC visited Koruthode Panchayat situated in Kanjirappallytaluk, Kottayam district in Kerala. The purpose of the visit was to conduct PMGDISHA student enrolment campaign.
VLE Mr Sinto Mohan arranged the campaign . We had a meeting with the Principal of Govt LP school Punchavayal ,Koruthode where the campaign was arranged. The campaign started at around 11am and more than 40 people participated. Sijo explained about PMGDISHA. More than 37 people were enrolled in PMGDISHA by VLE Mr Sinto Mohan .
VLE Sunil Kumar organised PMGDISHA training programme at Thiruvambadi panchayat in the Kozhikode district. He has brought 92 candidates on board.
The VLE visited the villages and made them aware of the significance of digital literacy in the present era. After taking this training, students have been able to do the banking transactions, purchasing daily items using mobile apps (BHIM).The PMGDISHA centre has 3-4 computers used for the training purposes.
