Nabarangpur: The district which once witnessed an isolated revolt from naxals, is now part of one of the biggest revolution, ‘Digital India’. Thanks to VLEs Manoj Kumar Nayak, Balram Behera and Laxman Bhatra from Odisha who have fought all odds to make the denizens of Nabarangpur digitally literate with PMGDISHA.
Mr.Nayak reached 1500 villagers in Papadahandi block educating them about PMGDISHA scheme. He along with six companions took out two vans with loudspeakers to propagate PMGDISHA and covered 12 villages in the district.
Following the campaign, he registered 250 citizens including the anganwadi workers and self-help groups.
Mr.Behera delivered door-to-door services to the differently abled citizens in the precinct. Though digital payment gateways, VLE helped them to get the pension at their homes. LaxmanBhatra is also helping the villagers of Kodinga in the similar ways.
