35-year-old Bijaya Kumar Naik who hails from Namapasi gram panchayat, one among the poor accessible places in Odisha, has been an active village-level-entrepreneur (VLE) under Common Service Centre since past two years. Despite of number of hurdles including low-connectivity and irregular electric supply, the VLE, representing SC community, is serving the denizens of panchayat in Pallahara block of the state.

In tandem with Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision on making India a complete digitally literate nation, Naik implemented Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan in his block. After achieving the initial target of certifying 250 candidates, he is eager to enrol more beneficiaries under the scheme.

Naik was also successful in generating interest in CSC’s Investor Awareness Programme (IAP). Apart from implementing homeopathy services through CSC platform, implementation of Digipay created revolution in the precinct. According to VLE, the people had been suffering to avail banking services and Digipay enables them to transact money through their bank account.

He also offers other services like insurance premium collection point, motor insurance, Mobile & DTH recharge, online admission and many more digital services .
