PMGDISHA workshop motivates VLEs in Jammu and Kashmir

Budgam: Hundreds of VLEs along with District Managers and Coordinators thronged at a state-level workshop organised under PMGDISHA at Budgam District Collectorate, Jammu and Kashmir recently.

The workshop, led by the State Head (J&K) Mr.Khawaja Farooq Renzu Shah, shed light on the activities of CSC in the state.

Apart from preparing a roadmap for expanding the services in Jammu and Kashmir, the event also suggested solutions for the technical issues raised by the VLEs and other stakeholders.

Mr. Shah advised the stakeholders to gear-up for popularising PMGDISHA at the grass-root level. He also explained the benefits of computer literacy training under PMGDISHA. He, during his address also extended full support to the DMs and DCs for takingPMGDISHA to the villages, blocks and wards of J&K.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou), J&K Chapter has signed MoU with Common Service Centres (CSC) for facilitating a bunch of online support services to its prospective and enrolled students.

The full-day conference saw presentations on the achievements and targets of PMGDISHA. The event also saw felicitations of VLEs for their exceptional service under CSC.

The project targets to make 6.58 lakh villagers digitally literate in Jammu and Kashmir under PMGDISHA. .
